How can I find burials at SMG?
Our website has a Grave Finder tab that works well for locating burials in our cemetery. If you need help locating a particular grave, please contact our office staff during office hours (Monday-Friday 9:00am – 1:00pm) at 701-293-4819.
How many remains can be buried in one lot?
A maximum of two cremated remains may be buried in one lot, or one casket burial with the cremation burial going in after the casket burial.
Our headstone is sinking – what can be done?
Please contact our office at 701-293-4819 and we will schedule the headstone to be raised to the appropriate ground level.
Is a vault required for burials?
Yes, a vault is required for a casket burial. For a cremation burial, we do not require a vault.
I have a lot that I will not use the interment rights for. What can I do?
You can sell the interment rights, transfer or donate the interment rights to a church or funeral home, or you can donate them back to Sunset Memorial Gardens. Please contact our office for more information (701-293-4819).
Can I plant flowers/shrubs/anything in the cemetery?
No, we do not allow any planting in the cemetery. However, you may place potted flowers or artificial flowers near the grave marker. For more information, please contact our office at 701-293-4819.
